free press

Remember the recent conflict in Gaza?

Remember how the local and world press demanded the right to enter the battle zone to report on the situation?

It became an international issue when the IDF initially tried to stop them from entering a battlefield, but common sense won the day and the journalists were allowed to try to become martyrs.

Now the PA is placing restrictions on foreign media wanting to report from PA controlled areas.  It can’t be a security issue, because there are no battles being waged at the moment.

And there is not a lot of noise being made about journalistic freedom…
