finally, a fatwa to follow

Ignoring for a moment the incitement to violence in his message, Dr. Maher al-Huli, head of the fatwa department in the Palestine Scholars Association might be onto something.

The Scholars are banning foreign Muslims from visiting the Temple Mount as long as Jerusalem is under Israeli control.  This may help to ease the tension in the area and end the regular rioting and rock throwing.

The fatwa specifies “foreign” Muslims from visiting, meaning the locals are still permitted to go there.

The basis of the fatwa is that the Temple Mount is under Israeli control – doesn’t this suggest that all Muslims there are “foreign”, so none should be allowed to enter?

A newly elected extreme MK will be overjoyed with this fatwa.
